St. Francis girls were victorious against St. Paul Central 59-55 on Friday night with the help of Danah Ocsan, who scored 15 points.
St. Paul Central played better during the second half, but not enough to reverse the early point surge of St. Francis Girls Varsity Basketball.
Ocsan led St. Francis’s offense, going 5-for-13 (38%) from the field while also sinking 50% (4-for-8) of free throws attempted.
Three other players also added ten or more points for St. Francis. Sydney Zqutowicz had 12 points and Daelyn O’Brien added 11 points. Gracie Eastman hit two three-pointers and scored 11 points total. Also contributing for St. Francis were Maggie Winkels (4 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals), Anna Schultz (3 points, 8 rebounds, 6 blocks), and Mae Grahek (3 points, 2 rebounds).
St. Francis finished the game with 44 rebounds (12 offensive / 32 defensive), nine blocks and nine steals.
