Saints Varsity Gymnastics Edges out a Win Against the STMA Knights

The Saints “Perfect 10” girl’s gymnastics team takes the Varsity win over the St Micahel-Albertville Knights last night with a score of 137.025 for the Saints vs. 133.025 for STMA.  Wearing their “ugly” holiday sweaters, the girls looked confident at home.  Felicia Bartell took home 1st Place All – Around Varsity with a score of 36.88 placing 1st on vault, 1st on bars, 2nd on beam and 2nd on floor.   Allie Frank took Varsity 2nd in All – Around with a 33.63 and placing 6th on vault, 6th on bars, 4th on beam and 4th on floor.

Summer Helland, who competed combination JV and Varsity took 4th place on Varsity vault, 1st place on Varsity beam, and 3rd place on Varsity floor.  Summer took a strong 1st on JV bars with a score of 8.500.

Strong finishes for Carolyn Helland who took 6th place on JV beam, 3rd place on JV bars and 1st place on JV floor with a score of 8.350.  Jessi Mehregan took 1st place on JV vault with a score of 8.150. Sydney Stokes placing 5th on Varsity vault.  Maleia St. Hilaire took 5th place on Varsity beam.

Riley Lawin took home 2nd place JV All –Around with a score of 24.550.  Our JV girls missed a win last night but fought hard!  Final team score for JV was 111.6 for the Saints vs. 121.2 for the Knights.

Their next meet will be away at Cambridge-Isanti on January 12, 2017 at 6:30pm.  Go Saints!
