Girls Junior Varsity Gymnastics, Girls Varsity Gymnastics · Fighting Saints Girls Gymnastics Falls to Big Lake

The Fighting Saints Girls Gymnastics team came up short against the Hornets in last night’s away meet in Big Lake.  The Hornets brought in a team score of 133.675 for their Varsity and 118.15 for JV.  The Saints had 129.25 for Varsity and 75.8 on JV.
The girls showed a fighting spirit on the rotations with a strong 2nd place on Varsity Vault by Sydney Stokes with an 8.4.  Sydney also took 3rd place on Bars with a 7.975.  Sydney wrapped up with an impressive 3rd place in Varsity All Around with a score of 31.675.  Summer Helland showed stellar balance and skills in a 1st place win on Varsity beam with a 9.0 and a score of 8.875 for a 2nd place on Varsity Floor.  Summer brought home 2nd place in Varsity All Around with a score of 34.025.
The combination All Around had three of our girls in the top 5.  Caroyln Helland with a 30.3 took 3rd place, Morgan Goebel with a 29.85 brought home 4th and Jessica Mehregan rounded out the top five with a 29.575.
Our JV girls did an amazing job with two first place awards for individuals.  Anna Stilwell took 1st on Vault with an 8.1 and Morgan Goebel with a 7.2 on Bars.  Way to go ladies!
