Girls Junior Varsity Gymnastics, Girls Varsity Gymnastics · Saints Gymnastics Keeps their Momentum Going with a Win against Princeton

Coming off of their win last week, the Fighting Saints Varsity Gymnastics team, coached by Candi Johnson and assistant Natalie Wasche, came into the gym energized and took 1st place against the Princeton Tigers.  The final Varsity team score was 136 for St. Francis vs. 123.5 for Princeton.  Saints gymnasts claimed the top 3 spots All-Around with Felicia Bartell taking 1st place, Allie Frank in 2nd and Summer Helland in 3rd. 
The JV team also fought hard and took the win against the Tigers with a team score of 116.1 for the Saints vs. 98.05 for Princeton.  The JV Saints claimed the top 3 spots All-Around with Carolyn Helland in 1st place, Anna Stilwell in 2nd and Riley Lawin in 3rd. 
In combo Varsity / JV All-Around, Jessi Mehregan claimed 1st place, Sydney Stokes took 2nd, and team captain Morgan Goebel took 4th. 
In individual Varsity results, Felicia Bartell had an amazing night taking 1st place on ALL 4 events!  Summer Helland took 2nd on Vault and Floor, and 5th on Beam.  Allie Frank took 2nd on Bars, 3rd on Floor and Beam, and 5th on Vault. Maleia St. Hilaire took 2nd on Beam.  Jessi Mehregan took 3rd on Vault.  Sydney Stokes took 4th on Floor and Vault and 5th on Bars.
In JV individual action, Carolyn Helland had a great night taking 1st place on Vault, Beam and Floor and 2nd on Bars with Maleia St. Hilaire taking 1st on Bars.  Anna Stilwell took 2nd on Vault and Floor.  Jessi Mehregan took 2nd on Beam.  Morgan Goebel took 3rd on Bars and Vault and Sydney Stokes claimed the 3rd spot on Beam.  Finally, Riley Lawin took 4th on Vault, Floor and Bars.

Their next and last home meet of the season will be at the Saint Francis Middle School Tuesday, February 2, 2017 at 6:30pm as they take on the North Branch Vikings.  Go Saints!!!
