Multiple Teams · Breaking records on the way to state

The Fighting Saints competed in Day 2 of the 7AA Section meet on Saturday, June 3. The following athletes will advance to the Minnesota AA State meet on June 9-10:

  • Amanda Anderson in discus and shot put (Anderson won discus in the 2016 state meet; Anderson is currently ranked 10th in the nation for discus)
  • Tommy Schwieger in long jump and triple jump (Schwieger placed 9th in triple jump at the 2016 state meet)
  • Genuine Matthews in the 100m dash and 400m dash (Matthews placed 2nd in the 2016 state meet)
  • Eli Hylen in high jump (Eli was the only freshman to qualify for high jump at the 2016 state meet.)
