In cooperation with physicians and other allied health personnel, the athletic trainer functions as an integral member of the athletic health care team in secondary schools, colleges and universities, sports medicine clinics, professional sports programs and other athletic health care settings.
St. Francis High School contracts a certified athletic trainer (AT) to provide medical support/coverage for the Fighting Saints athletic teams. During the season, an athletic trainer is on site from at least 2:25-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and during all home JV and varsity athletic games/events.
