Multiple Teams · Varsity defeats Big Lake in straight sets

Varsity volleyball had a good night Tuesday defeating Big Lake in three sets. Also being senior night, Coach Norton featured all of the team’s senior players in the victory as everyone celebrated the girls contributions to the St Francis volleyball program. Varsity will lose six seniors this year and it was an emotional night as underclassman players honored the seniors with heartfelt speeches. There will be big shoes to fill next year.

Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer · Boys Soccer Season Wrap-Up

Finishing the regular season with a record of 11-3-2, the Boys Saints Soccer Team celebrated one of their best seasons in a decade.  The team had some notable wins over Buffalo and Monticello, teams that for several years had dominated the series.  They finished 2nd in the Mississippi Eight Conference with 6 conference wins and 2 ties.  The only conference loss was to Chisago Lakes, a team that finished 9 – 0.   The boys team will be graduating 5 Seniors this year, Capitan Andrew Peterson, Glen Gbakoyah, Cooper Johnson, Ben Harmon, and Kevin Dennison.  Captains Andrew Peterson, Conner Rignell and Jack Wangensteen, promoted teamwork on and off the field.  Unfortunately,  the season was cut short with a section loss to Coon Rapids last night 3 to 4, in a hard fought battle.  The leadership of the graduating Seniors will be missed, but with a strong nucleus of Juniors and Sophomores returning and players moving up from  good JV and JV2 teams, the future looks bright for Saints Boys Soccer.

Multiple Teams · Varsity scores another conference win over Chisago Lakes

Varsity volleyball took on the Wildcats for the second time in less than a week and won again in three sets. The host Wildcats played hard but our Saints were firing on all cylinders and proved to be too much to handle. This night saw everyone on the team get a chance to play and show what they could do. Next up is a home game against Big Lake on Tuesday. Come out and celebrate our seniors. The season is winding down, so get out and support the team!
