The Saints hosted the Princeton Tigers at home last night and came out with the win. Both Varsity and JV teams looked good coming into the gym and had a great night. The Varsity Saints came in first place with a team score of 134.735 (Saints) to 124.375 (Tigers). The Saints also claimed the top three all-around spots with Saints senior Summer Helland in 1st with a 34.975. Junior Allie Frank took 2nd place all-around with a 34.825. And Lauryn Perry took 3rd with a 33.625.

In individual Varsity results, Summer took 1st place on beam with a great score of 9.4. She also placed 1st on Floor and 3rd on vault and bars. Allie took 1st on bars, and 2nd on vault, floor and beam. Lauryn took 2nd on bars, 3rd on beam and 4th on floor. Riley Lawin took 4th on vault. And Lia Mehregan took 5th on floor.

The JV team also had a great night and took first place with their second highest score in multiple seasons of 118.05 (Saints) to 99.25 (Tigers). The Saints claimed the top three all-around spots with Amelia Holm taking 1st with a 29.45. Savanna Lanz took 2nd place with a 28.5 and Quinn Reid took 3rd with a 27.3.

In individual JV results, Savanna took 1st on floor, 2nd on vault, and 5th on bars. Amelia took 2nd on beam and floor, and 3rd on vault and bars. Lia Mehregan took 1st on vault. Emma Oman placed 1st on beam and 4th on vault. Riley Lawin took 1st on bars and 3rd on beam. Kayla Reid took 2nd on bars and 4th on floor. Her sister Quinn Reid took 4th place on bars. And Jessica Harklau took 3rd on floor.

For combination all-around (girls who compete both Varsity and JV) Lia Mehregan took the top spot with an all-around score of 30.985. Emma Oman claimed 2nd with a 30.8. Kayla came in 3rd with a 29.1. And Riley came in 4th with a 28.925.

This meet was also “Parents Night” and the girls showed their appreciation to their parents and families by distributing gifts and a hand written letter of appreciation.

After this meet, the Saints don’t have much time to rest as they will be at the Cambridge-Isanti Invite this Saturday (January 25, 2020). This meet starts at 12 pm at the C-I High School and is an all-around meet which means only the all-around score is ranked.
