Football Celebrates at End of Season Banquet

The St. Francis Varsity and JV football teams celebrated the end of the season with a team banquet Thursday, November 16th held at The Spectacular Events Center.  All of the Varsity and JV players were recognized for their efforts throughout the season.  Some of the following are highlights of awards and recognition throughout the evening.

Brent Swaggert named New Head Football Coach

Saints start season with 24-14 victory over Bemidji

The Fighting Saints 2015 football team opened their season against the team that ended the 2014 season for the Saints in the Section 7AAAAA finals, the Bemidji Lumberjacks.  It’s a new year and both have different teams but both are expected to have successful seasons with many returning players.   The Saints took the opening

John Santiago- Mr. Football Finalist

Senior running back John Santiago was selected as one of the 10 finalist for Mr. Football in the State of Minnesota for 2014.  John is the first ever Saints player to be a finalist for this award.  The Mr. Football banquet was held on Sunday morning November 30th @ the Doubletree Hotel in St. Louis
